Project Completed at Muzo – Just 200 yards from the historic Puerto Arturo shaft of the Muzo Emerald mine, Clayhands built a community center and bathroom for the numerous social, cultural and educational events organized by the Muzo Foundation and the community. The community center is an artisinal in construction and utilizes bamboo, stone, brick and recycled glass. It was selected to be entered in a National Architecture Competition called Bienal.

The elements of natural color brick and structural bamboo, called ‘guadua’ reflect the local environment.

Having broken ground in June 2018, Clayhands is proud to have finished phases 1 and 2 of the project!
